This material can be the perfect substitute for conventional architectural glass placed in buildings because it offers the same mechanical properties in addition to the advantages mentioned a few lines below. PV glass complies with all international safety standards when used in construction for architectural purposes. It also generates free clean energy thanks to the sun (active solar properties). PV glass panes physical features such as their shape, color, size, thickness and grade of transparency can be all customized to meet the requirements of the wide range of projects in which they are being used.

Cadmium Telluride produces more power than Crystalline Silicon in overcast weather and high temperatures.Cadmium Telluride can generate higher energy than Crystalline Silicon under indirect and diffuse light conditions.
CdTe offers different visible light transmittance levels, up to 40%.CdTe offers flexibility in design and can be tailored to the architectural needs.
CdTe has a homogeneous appearance, offering a perfect combination of both aesthetics and functionality.

NATURAL ILLUMINATION AND SELECTIVE FILTER

CdTe thin-film PV glass is the ideal material to be used as it can provide buildings with a lot of natural illumination in their interiors. Its filtering properties are also highlighted because both harmful UV radiation and IR can be absorbed, thus, improving its thermal insulation.

INSULATION PROPERTIES

CdTe photovoltaic glass features both good thermal and sound insulation properties. The “U-value” measures the amount of heat that passes through the glazing when there is a difference in temperature between its two sides. The lower this value is, the higher the thermal insulation. 

For sophisticated projects which requires Insulating Glass (IG), we can provide you with with two or more glass window panes separated by a vacuum or gas-filled space to reduce heat transfer across a part of the building envelope.

STANDARD PV GLASS MODULES

The photovoltaic glass panes come in both standard and customized dimensions and shapes. The standard PV glass panes are rectangular shapes, measure 1,200 x 600 mm and 1,200 x 1,800 mm. For more details, see the technical specifications section.
